Families First is the New South Wales Government’s Programme that helps parents give their children a good start in life. Families First Community Development Project of Immigrant Women’s Speakout Association of NSW Inc provides outreach services in Auburn. The project aims to support parents and carers in raising children through:

• linking them with services for families and children
• working with families and children from birth to 3 years
• encouraging small and emerging communities to connect with families and children to develop a sense of belonging
• increasing knowledge on issues relating to child development, health, hygiene, safety and other relevant topics
• organising activities that motivate families to come together
• advocating for families with children
  
  IWSA Families First Project was finished in January 2007.
