ABOUT US

ABOUT US

The Immigrant Women’s Speakout Association is a key community based organisation providing advocacy, support, education, and information to women of non-English speaking backgrounds in Western Sydney and NSW.

WHAT WE DO

We provide support and culturally-specific services to migrant and refugee women of non-English speaking backgrounds who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness or domestic and family violence or abuse.

OUR VISION

We dream of a society that values the rich and diverse contributions of immigrant and refugee women.
We endeavor to empower culturally and linguistically diverse women by breaking down structural barriers which prevent them from participating fully in our Australian society. We aim to help women access the resources they need to live independently – free from violence, oppression, exploitation, and discrimination.

Immigrant Women’s Speakout Association (IWSA) acknowledges the Barramattagal People of the lands on which we work and operate. We pay our respects and celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal peoples and their ongoing cultures and connections to the lands and waters of NSW.
