NSW DOMESTIC VIOLENCE LINE (DV Line)

NSW Domestic Violence Line  provides counselling and referralservice to women experiencing domestic and family violence. Available 24/7. Interpreters are available, if you cannot speak English or are not fluent in English.

Link2home  is a statewide homelessness information and referral telephone service. It is open 24/7. Link2home provides information, conducts assessments and provides referrals to homelessness services across NSW.

WOMEN’S LEGAL SERVICE NSW 

Women’s Legal  Service NSW (WLS NSW) provides free and confidential legal advice and referrals to women in NSW, with a focus on family law, parenting issues, domestic violence, sexual assault and discrimination.

LEGAL AID NSW

Call between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

Legal Aid NSW helps people within NSW with legal information and identifies services within your area that can help you. Its legal services include legal advice, support with criminal matters involving the police, family matters involving children or relationship breakdown or civil matters.

TRANSLATING AND INTERPRETING SERVICE (TIS) NATIONAL

TIS National  is an interpreting service for people who do not speak English and for the agencies that need to communicate with them. It provides immediate telephone interpreting services, as well as pre-booked telephone interpreting, video remote interpreting and face to face interpreting. You can access interpreters in more than 150 languages. Immediate Phone Interpreting helps you access the service 24/7.

MEN’S LINE AUSTRALIA

Men’sLine Australia  offers free professional 24/7 telephone counselling support for men with concerns about mental health, anger management, using or experiencing family violence, addiction, relationship, stress and wellbeing.

KIDS HELPLINE

Kids Helpline  is free, confidential, 24hours/7daus phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. Kids Helpline provides practical help and emotional support at critical moment when they need someone to listen and can be a life-saving experience in some instances.

MY BLUE SKY

Launched by Anti-Slavery Australia, My Blue Sky is Australia’s first website dedicated to forced marriage prevention, information and legal advice. Marriage in Australia is for men and women over the age of 18, who fully agree to and understand the marriage.  No one is allowed to force you to get married against your will.

Available in 15 languages with specialised pages for young children, teenagers, educators and medical practitioners, the website offers vulnerable people access to information about marriage in Australia, and direct access to legal advice and support through SMS, email or a secure online locker room.

FULL STOP AUSTRALIA

Full Stop Australia supports peopleimpacted by sexual, domestic or family violence through support, education and advocacy. Their counsellors are available 24/7 by telephone and online. They also provide face to face counselling at some Women’s Health Centres in NSW.
